Volunteers for the 2019 CINP International Meeting are the first point of contact for many of the attendees. Their critical role is to welcome local and foreign participants and to foster a spirit of helpfulness and hospitality.
In return for volunteer services, the CINP 2019 meeting gladly offers the following benefits:
Complimentary food & beverage during volunteer shifts
Complimentary admission to the conference sessions on the day you volunteer (when not on a shift) or another full conference day if you commit to at least one 7-hour shift
Certificate of participation
Please note that the conference does not cover any travel or accommodation costs for volunteers.
As a volunteer, you are required to:
Commit to at least 4 volunteer hours per day on three consecutive days (total of 12 hours) or one 7-hour shift on two consecutive days (total of 14 hours)
Commit to attend the training session on Wednesday afternoon, 2 October 2019 (time to be advised)
Speak fluent English
The following positions are available during the CINP 2019 Meeting:
Conference bag preparation
Registration desk assistant – helping ICS staff (Conference Secretariat) with the delegate check-in, handing out name badges and conference bags
Session room assistant – ensure the smooth running of the session, assisting the speaker and chairperson where required, distribution of conference materials for the chairperson, distribution of the microphones during questions from the audience, session attendance tracking etc.
Speaker ready room assistant – assist the speaker/presenter with uploading their presentation material etc.
Poster assistant – assist the presenters with locating their poster board and help with placing their poster, where required
Upon confirmation of volunteers, a volunteer training manual will be provided to each individual. The volunteer manual outlines all responsibilities associated with the assigned roles and scheduled volunteer shifts during the conference. We will also conduct one on-site training session before the start of the conference to ensure all volunteers are confident with the facility and their important role in the success of the 2019 CINP International Meeting.
